Refer with Confidence: What to Expect When a Patient Comes to Azzurra

Referring a client to another provider is an act of trust and clinical responsibility. Yet, this decision can be challenging when we don’t fully understand the other team's approach. At Azzurra Health Care Center, we want to show you how we care for our clients, so you can refer with clarity and confidence.

We work from an integrative, bilingual (Spanish/English), and culturally responsive framework designed to support adults, teens, children, couples, and families in a warm, ethical, and collaborative way.

How we work:

  • Comprehensive psychological intake beyond diagnosis

  • Co-constructed treatment goals

  • Documentation available upon client authorization for collaborative care

  • Horizontal referral encouraged when cases exceed our scope

Common concerns we support:

  • Anxiety, stress, complex trauma

  • Migratory grief, depression, life transitions

  • Conscious parenting, family conflict

  • Emotional overload in women

  • Emotional and behavioral challenges in children/teens

What you can expect when referring to Azzurra:

  • Professional communication and ethical follow-up (with consent)

  • A person-centered—not symptom-centered—approach
